What to Do, What to Do...

Suggestions?
Picked up while thrifting of course...

Any other suggestions - 2 Baby Chenille blankets...
One in pretty good shape
The other has "patina".....

and a design that makes more sense on the reverse....
Last but not least - I almost put this in our Guild bazaar a couple of years ago but was quickly told by some of my quilting peeps to hang on..someone might come up with some ideas for them....
So I have all these lovely items sitting in a pillow case with really no place to show them...
Suggestions would be appreciated.....

  1. You find such great things when you are thrifting. I love the those old spreads and the first one looks like it is almost new. I think they make pillows for one thing out of those. I have also seen stuffed toys. The embroidered one is just darling. If you can't find some way to use them now, just tuck them away for safe keeping and I am sure a project will present itself one day. Very pretty! Carol

  2. Wow, cool. Maybe a fabric book. I would cut them and sandwich them and quilt them and turn them into playable sized fabric pages for books that children and adults could creatively play with. Or..... Like Carol said just keep them as they are. They are very precious.

  3. What a wonderful opportunity to answer your question about Nan and discover your lovely blog. Now you must visit her and especially tell her she must come and look at your quilts. She will be over the moon to see them. Wait until you meet Nan, and be sure and scroll back through her posts. Your socks will drop off to see where it is she lives. I think the two of you will have much in common! Just scroll down my sidebar to Dear Friends, you will see her name towards the bottom, Retired in Alaska. It is so lovely to meet you! My family is from Northern Michigan as well! Elizabeth

  4. I don't know what I would do with them either, but I adore that ABC chenille!

  5. Hi Jewels! I am from Michigan too! I was looking back on a few of your older posts and I had to laugh about your vacation, the one in October! I too went to Frankfort but I think it was the weekend before that! Isn't that area so beautiful! My family is from Old Mission and Traverse City. Where do you live and where is your cute cabin? If I had those quilts I would just have to keep them as they are! I just can't bring myself to cut them up! I buy all cutter quilts I see and make things from them. But someone else has cut them for me! LOL I love your blog header. XO Fran.
